Timyo is very excited to have Will Arnett as a key part of our team. Besides being one of the funniest guys we can think of, his intelligence and generosity have been crucial to making Timyo into everything we want it to be.

I recently got a chance to chat with Will about Timyo and an exclusive Timyo video that will soon be coming your way.

C: Will, thanks so much for taking the time away from your busy schedule to talk about your involvement with Timyo. You’re out promoting the new season of Bojack Horseman, right?

W: I am, we did a third season and I’m really excited for everyone to check it out. It started streaming on Netflix July 22 at midnight.

C: Regarding Timyo, we usually think of celebrities as spokesmen or endorsers of companies, but your involvement with Timyo goes far beyond that.

W: Right. When I met with Fabrice and Alfred [Timyo’s cofounders], I instantly connected with their mission. Timyo‘s approach of integrating time as a central component to email is a real game changer. Between juggling producing, writing, and acting, I have a ton of emails to manage, and I was as fed up as anybody with the way email worked before Timyo. So… in that first meeting I offered Fabrice and Alfred one billion dollars for Timyo. Long story short, that deal fell apart quickly because apparently I don’t have a billion dollars so I asked how else I could be helpful with the development of the product because I knew there was something special here and I had to be involved.

C: Can you speak a little bit more about your role at Timyo?

W: I’ve really enjoyed being involved from Timyo‘s early stages. One thing we discussed early on is that even though Timyo’s approach is so simple, it’s also a radical change to how people usually think of email, and so we thought it was important to address those changes head on, and thought humor would be a good way to do that. We put together a great video with the guys at Big Breakfast and College Humor, and we’re really happy with the results. We think it’s a great way to introduce Timyo—as a great product that saves time and keeps you from missing deadlines—hopefully while making you laugh.

C: Can you tell us a little more about the video?

W: Sure—it’s called “Screw Time”, and it’s about the horrible things that happen when you don’t take time into account. It’s set in an office, to reflect that Timyo’s main focus is on business email. The idea is that email today is so bad because it takes time for granted—there’s no way to clearly and quickly communicate time expectations with your colleagues, teammates, or clients. We thought it would be funny to show what would actually happen if you took time for granted in your real life. Timyo is all about using time as a key component to make email better, and we thought this was a fun way to talk about that.

C: Nice! Any idea when everyone will be able to see the video?

W: Soon! We’re really happy with it, and the production team is fine-tuning the app now and getting ready to port it out to other platforms, so hopefully we’ll be able to share it in the next couple of months.
