Let’s Be Clear: How Timyo Brings Clarity to Business Email

How Timyo brings clarity to business email

“To speak kindly, speak clearly.”

—Delfina Goikoetxea

We don’t do anyone any favors when we don’t say what we mean. That seems obvious, but all too often we are presented with situations in which we find ourselves struggling to come up with the right words. That’s why there are Hallmark cards with pre-written sentiments—it’s not that Uncle Ted and Aunt Missy don’t really care about your graduation…they just don’t feel like they can express themselves with more clarity than some guy who gets paid to write stuff like “ConGRADulations, Nephew!” for a living.

Coming up with the right way of saying something can be especially tricky in a professional environment. You want to be respectful of other people’s time and goals, but you also need to be clear on what you expect from others. This is tough—we don’t want to be rude, after all—and so we end up writing business emails with sentences like:

“It would be great if there’s any chance if you’re not too busy and you have a second if you could let me know whenever is good for you if you can make that meeting tomorrow at 11.”

The thing is, emails like that aren’t only painful to write; they are painful to read. That’s why one of Timyo’s main priorities is making clarity the default setting in business email. With Timyo, the sender quickly and easily lets the recipient know exactly what they expect (i.e. a reply, a read, or for an action to be taken) and when they expect it (today, tomorrow, or Tuesday, June 20th.)

And that’s it. And so we replace this—

By introducing clarity into the conversation, Timyo helps the sender and the recipient alike.

So would we call this a win-win situation?

Clearly.
